The Home Product Area’s objective is to delight our users with a personalized homepage in which they can easily discover new content and easily retrieve content they already have a connection with.
We create content hypotheses, represented by ‘shelves’ (horizontal rows containing individual recommendations) and then have algorithms that assist in best determining which shelves should be available to the user on the home tab based on the user’s preferences and taste.

Given that most users like to listen to the same artists and albums that they have grown to love, it's novel when a user makes a connection to a new artist. As users, it's easy to discover something new and then forget about it. And because the discovery of a new artist may not happen often, we should take advantage of these moments and ensure that the user's Home page enables them to discover more content from the artist!
Â
Ultimately, the goal would be to help the user drive a deeper connection with their recently discovered artist. Said otherwise, what can we do on Home to ensure that the user does not forget about an artist they recently discovered? What would data would you need to build a solution that addresses this problem? What could we do from an engineering perspective to keep a user interested in an artist they just discovered?
